Hi, my name is Ruth Hazell. I established Brit On The Side originally as a business I would do “on the side” of my full time job, but I have decided to dedicate my time to this full time instead.
The name - yes, very tongue in cheek, but I was trying to find a business name that was available as a domain, and something that would reflect “me”. A lot of fun, and also a Brit, living on the other side of the world.
Essentially, I have always been “the planner” - be it with/for my friends/family, or at work. I have constantly had feedback that I should do this as a career, better still, as my own business.
I have been involved with a wide range of events and productions, involving a lot of elements, planning, and coordination. All occasions have resulted in huge success, and delighted clients.
